Handmade Functional Pottery ::: Made on Bainbridge Island, Washington

Pottery Terms and Conditions

By purchasing an item from me, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

All of my ceramic pieces are handmade, and might have flaws.  This is the nature of handmade art!  I thoroughly inspect each piece for safety ensuring there are no sharp edges or pitting of surfaces.  However, each piece will be unique and imperfect.

Pottery will break if dropped or banged against hard surfaces

My pottery pieces are designed to be functional which means I use them daily for tea and coffee and food.  I put them in the microwave and dishwasher.  All of the glazes I use are stable and food-safe.

However, there is some common sense that must be observed with handmade ceramics.

THERMAL SHOCK

Ceramic pots can withstand very high temperatures (mine are fired between 2250° F – 2400° F), but pots will crack if exposed to a rapid change in temperature.

This means you can use boiling water in a mug but not a mug that has just been in a cold environment (running a mug under warm water before pouring boiling water is recommended).  Please don’t put any ceramic wares directly in contact with an open flame.

Returns and exchanges:

I want you to be super happy with what you have purchased from me.  If an item arrives damaged, please let me know.  As each item is unique, we will discuss how you want to proceed:  I can make a custom order for you or refund your money.

In addition, each item is one of a kind and cannot be exchanged for another.

Thank you for supporting my small pottery business.  I love making things for you to use and love.
